From Karen Lindsay post,
This from Richard Baudry of Canadian Association for School Libraries:
Hello everyone,
President Linda Shantz-Keresztes, on behalf of the Canadian Association for School Libraries (CASL), is pleased to announce the official launch of the CASLNetwork on Wednesday, June 17th, 2009. The CASLNetwork is an online community for school library specialists working in or for Canadian schools. CASL has created this network so that teacher librarians, library technicians, and school library staff across the country can meet, discuss issues, ask questions, find answers, form groups either by province or territory or by themes like advocacy and literacy skills, and post relevant pictures and videos. In moving on to a Web 2.0 platform, CASL is looking to meet the needs of its membership by offering a multi-faceted communication tool so that they can participate in the process rather than simply receiving information.
A community of school library specialists working in Canadian schools. Pour ceux ou celles qui travaillent dans les bibliothèques scolaires.
This is the starting point. Anyone working in a school library or working for school libraries in Canada is invited to join us.
